Woodland Peak

Inspired by the natural landscape and surroundings of the location, this project was deeply influenced by the restaurant's setting. The choice of colors, materials, and textures was determined by the restaurant's location. Additionally, given its status as a typical Dominican restaurant, it was essential to draw inspiration from Dominican culture.

Thus, we adorned the main wall of the restaurant with a beautiful mural by artist Tolentino, depicting iconic characters and musical instruments representing one of our most cherished traditions, music. Endemic materials such as wood, cane, fibers, and natural plants were utilized to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Despite the modern atmosphere, I wanted people to experience the taste of the countryside and the warmth of Dominican traditions.

A palette of earthy tones, including various shades of brown, reds, yellows, and grays, was chosen to complement each other and the predominant blue hue. These colors, closely associated with the landscape, nature, and rusticity, create inviting, dynamic, and modern environments when strategically employed. In this project, the interplay of lights and shadows, along with the distribution of luminaires, accentuates textures, volumes, and colors, creating a wholly different ambiance from that of natural daylight.

Furthermore, adjusting the lighting levels provides our client with the flexibility to create various atmospheres as needed.
