For this apartment project, we embraced a neutral color palette dominated by shades of gray, primarily in darker tones. Our approach was to create a stylish, exotic, and sophisticated space with clean lines and timeless statement pieces, defining the style as modern.
The design features an open-plan living area that seamlessly integrates the living room, kitchen, and dining space, facilitating both daily use and entertaining. Custom storage solutions, including closets and built-in cabinets, were incorporated to accommodate the clients' shopping habits. Each child's bedroom was designed to reflect their individual tastes while maintaining a cohesive look throughout the apartment. This approach ensured that the home was functional, stylish, and aligned with the clients' lifestyle.
Key alterations included reconfiguring the kitchen and entrance by removing several walls to create a spacious, open area upon entering the apartment. We also relocated the laundry area to enhance the kitchen's functionality and space.
The clients are high-end professionals in the luxury jewelry and watch industries, with businesses such as Rolex. They have a deep appreciation for well-crafted, elegant items and frequently travel globally, with Miami being a significant hub for them. Although this is a second home, they spend considerable time here and highly value trends and fashion.
For finishes, we selected materials that balance durability and aesthetic appeal. We used various textures to add depth and interest, such as polished marble with pronounced veining in the master bathroom and matte marble with an exotic look in the kitchen. The dark grey color palette complements the overall design, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. In terms of decor, art, and design pieces, we curated items that reflect the space's personality and add unique character. Furniture and accessories were sourced from reputable suppliers like Cattelan Italia, Desiree, Fendi Casa, Porada, Lladrò, and Fornasetti, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and design.
